Date: next Friday 30th May to Monday 2nd June
Departure time: 3:45pm SHARP on Friday 30th from our Scout Hall. Please be at the scout hall by 3.30pm latest as we want to leave on time.
We are travelling in FULL UNIFORM.
Please ensure your child has had their dinner before going on the bus and pack a healthy packed lunch for Friday evening. Please put the packed lunch in a small bag to go onto the bus as we will be stopping half way up to eat and the Cub Scouts will not have access to their main bag until they reach Larch Hill.
We also request that you DO NOT provide your child with any fizzy drinks or sweets/unhealthy snacks for the weekend as we will be providing all food and snacks.
Also there is NO money needed as there will be no opportunity to go to a shop and there is no shop open in Larch Hill for the weekend.
Please DO NOT pack ANY electronic devices or mobile phones or bring any such devices on the weekend.
Gear List:
- Sleeping Bag
- Bivvy Bag or large empty strong refuse sack
- Ground Mat
- Full and correct uniform
- Rain jacket & waterproof trousers
- Warm Hat & Gloves
- Hiking Boots
- Runners
- Tea Towel & dishcloth
- Unbreakable plate, bowl and mug
- Knife, Fork & spoon
- 3 Spare changes of clothes, socks & underwear (Old/Worn clothing is best to be used for this weekend)
- Towel & personal wash gear
- Empty Water bottle
- Torch or Headlamp
- Insect Repellent
- Sun Cream (being optimistic! :-) )
- Old runners for waterbased activities
- An old plain white tshirt if you have one
- Your fancy dress costume based on the imagination theme for the fancy dress competition (Our subcamp is Monsters!)
Everything should be labelled with the Cub Scouts name and scout troop. It should be packed all in one bag which the Cub Scout can carry themselves.
