6th Cubs rope bridges for real

Posted by Andrew Breslin | Posted in 6th Cubs | Posted on 13-11-2016

Tomorrow night (Monday 14th) we’ll be putting our rope bridge building into practice by crossing one of the streams in the Mangala wood.

Please have your cub in the car park of the Douglas Community Centre for 7pm.

Weather forecast is reasonable, but it will be dark and chilly so your cub must have the following with them……

1) Hat & gloves
2) Rain coat & waterproof trousers.
3) A torch.
4) Boots/walking shoes, not trainers as contact with cold water is very possible!!
5) High-vis jacket

Parents are welcome to stay and watch and if brave enough are very welcome to try crossing the bridge.

Note: Any adults in attendance must be supervised by a responsible Cub Scout at all times.

We are sending text messages to the 6th Cub parents, but if you’re not getting them please do let us know.
