Uniform Policy: Necker + comfortable traveling clothes
Musical Instruments: If a scout plays a musical instrument they are welcome to bring it along, but we won’t have space for a piano!
- Scouts going are meeting in the scout hall Wednesday evening before travelling @ 7pm, to organise their basic food supplies.
Food: Ensure scouts have good lunch before travelling and bring along a good filling snack + water to have when we arrive.
- Gear List
- Hiking boots
- Waterproof coat and pull-ups
- Small back pack for daily use.
- Wash gear + small towel
- Cup
- Plate
- Bowl
- Knife
- Fork
- Spoon
- J-cloth
- Tea-towel
- Torch + spare batteries
- Personal 1st aid kit – including sun lotion and insect repellent
- PJs
- Sleeping bag
- Ground matt
- Travel pillow – NOT a regular pillow
- Change of clothing for duration…
…Socks, underwear, trousers or trackies + T-shirts - Warm hoody
- Sun hat
- Warm hat & gloves
- Substantial water bottle or platypus – NOT small water bottles.
- Trainers or flip flops to wear at down time.
- Large bin bag or bivvy bag and smaller ones for wet/dirty gear
- Watch with hands – if they have one
- Clothing additions: bring old shorts + old t-shirt for possible water activity.
All scout gear must be clearly labelled and packed in/on a single rucksack, lined with a big bin bag. It’s important that your scout can carry their full rucksack.
