Dear Friends in Scouting,
In light of recent reporting in the media, we wish to reiterate the following information:
- All of our adult scouters are fully Garda vetted.
- They have undergone Safeguarding and Child Protection training. This training is in line with the NYCI (National Youth Council of Ireland).
- As many of the adults who wish to become Scouters in the group can attest – they are not allowed interact with our young people until their vetting is approved and they have completed the required training – which includes this Safeguarding/Child Protection training.
