In accordance with the license issued to Scouting Ireland to sell the 12 days of tickets ALL TICKETS MUST BE RETURNED.
Sold or unsold books must be brought back as we’ve to send them all back to headquarters to ensure their inclusion in the draw this week.
There’ll be leaders in the hall tonight and tomorrow night AT THE VERY LATEST that can accept the tickets.
Please bring these back. All monies raised stays within our own group.

Time to bring em back!
The Douglas & St. FinBarres Scout Group invites all our members, fellow scouts, scouting neighbours and friends to St. Fin Barres Cathedral on Wednesday Dec 4th at 7.30pm
As has been tradition for many years in the Cork South Scout County we are having our annual Toy Giving Ceremony but this year we are holding it in St. Fin Barres Cathedral and invite you all, with or without your singing voices, to take part with some Christmas Carols in the surroundings of the Cathedral.
This is a ceremony open to all faiths and we encourage as many of our Scouting family to come along and take part on the night.
The ceremony itself starts at 7.30pm on Dec 4th
A few things for Scouts and their parents to note
- There is no parking available in St Fin Barres Cathedral, please park in St Fin Barres carpark down near the Western Road (Pay Parking) or there may be parking in Dean Street, Gillabbey Street or Frenches Quay.
- Everyone needs to be in the Church for 7.15 so we can do a dry run with the singing.
- We’d ask that the Venture Scouts assemble at 7pm as we’d like them to be our toy collectors so we can show them what to do.
- Please bring a toy to donate; wrapped, and marked boy or girl and what age the toy is suitable for on the wrapping

Don’t forget to return your tickets next week!!
All money raised goes towards hall maintenance and equipment for all of our sections in our Group!

- PLEASE – Get your Cub, Scout or Venture to pack their own bag so that they’ll know whats in it and where everything is.
- PLEASE – Get your Beaver Scout to pack their bag with you… Try anyway…. So they too will know whats in it and where everything is.
- From experience we know that items will get lost or damaged therefore we ask that no expensive pieces of clothing are brought along on the weekend away. This also applies to electronic devices; please leave MP3 players and hand held gaming devices at home.
- MOBILE PHONES ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THIS WEEKEND – FOR ANY SCOUT
If you’ve any further questions or still have money to pay off for this weekend please speak with your childs section leader as soon as you can.
