Camp Payment Reminder!!

Posted by Enda | Posted in 2nd Scouts, 47th Scouts, 6th Scouts, Camp 2016, Rover News, Scout News, Summer Camps, Venture News | Posted on 18-11-2015

Hi All,

Just a polite reminder that your stage payment for Camp 2016 is due by the end of November.

By that date, you should have €300 in total paid.  (Your initial deposit was €50 so assuming you’ve paid nothing else, an additional €250 is now due).

As we have bills already coming due for camp, it’s essential that everyone is paid up by this date.

Any questions, contact your section leaders or Conor or myself.

Thanks,

Enda.

Cork South Scout County – Annual Giving Ceremony 2015

The county annual giving ceremony will be a carol service held in St Marys Church, Passage West on Wed 2/12/2015.
All groups are asked to be seated for 7.00pm. This is the only event in our entire year when all sections of all groups in the Cork South County get together for an event.
It would be really great to get as many of our county together for this one time.
It is also a great event where our beavers, cubs, scouts, ventures and rovers get to help young people in the Cork area who are not as fortunate as them.
For anyone who has not been to this event before the idea is that each of your youth members attend in full uniform and bring with them a gift for another child, the gift should be wrapped and marked on the outside to say whether it is suitable for a boy or girl and the approximate age it is meant for.  The gifts will be taken up during the night.
We are going to have Christmas carols and a couple of short readings.
Please contact your section leader to confirm your attendance

53

is a bit of a magic number!!

53

is the number of seats on a coach!!

53

is the number of people who have now signed up for camp 2016 – Austria!!

Congratulations to all those who have confirmed their place for Camp 2016, Elmen, Austria.

If you have NOT booked your place, then unfortunately at this stage we can no longer guarantee that you can go to camp.  We really hate disappointing anyone though – so if you still want to go let us know asap.  We’ll do our best, but no promises at this stage.

Camp 2016 is not going to be great.  It’s going to be so much better than that, we’ll have to invent a new adjective to describe it!!!!!!!!!!!

Stage Payments for Camp 2016

Hi All,

As mentioned at the meeting announcing camp, we will be having stage payments for Camp 2016 – Austria.  The group has decided that the following will apply:

  • €300 must be paid by end of November 2015.  (€50 deposit already paid plus an additional €250).
  • €600 must be paid by end of February 2016.
  • €900 must be paid by end of May 2016.

Yes, it’s not easy coming up with lot’s of money, but it’s probably easier to do it a few times than all at once next year!

With regard to fundraising, 12 days of Christmas etc, the credits received for these will be taken off the “next” payment due.  Hopefully we can bring down the price for everyone going!

Any questions, please talk to your section leaders.  If they don’t have an answer for you, they’ll get one!

Regards,

Enda.

Hi All,

Just to let you know, we are now fully booked!

All the seats that we had hoped to fill – have now been filled.

So what happens now if you want to go to camp & have not already paid your deposit?

Please get it in ASAP.  We are NOT guaranteeing that anyone now joining the list will get to go on camp, but as we said before, we’ll do our very best to make it happen.

SO…    If you’ve paid your deposit before today – congratulations!  You’re in!!  If you have NOT paid it, pay it very quickly.  I think it’s likely that you will get to go, but can’t absolutely guarantee it at this stage.
