- Reminder of when and where:5th July 2014 to 19th July 2014 (Saturday to Saturday)
Silver Cross Scout Campsite, Llangyfelach, Swansea
- Reminder of Cost:€500. This will, as ever, include everything.
ALL meals, admissions etc are included.
The only thing spending money will be needed for is presents or souvenirs to bring home or some money for the onsite tuck shop.
- Deposits have been paid and those going are making regular payments to their section leader.
All fees are due to be paid up by Monday May 19th
- What’s in Silver Cross? The site is made up of 15 acres of deciduous woodland, and is also bordered by the small river Llan. Along with the main camping area there is also a range of varying terrain, which is ideal for survival training, wide games, and many other activities.
They have ample space on the site to accommodate several troops camping side by side and this proves a great way of building friendships between groups from all over the UK and with many of the International Groups who visit the Site.
Activities Onsite include: Climbing & Abseiling, Archery, Air Rifle Shooting, Orienteering, Spiderland Assault Course & Circus Skills
- How are we travelling?
Coach to Rosslare, then by Ferry to Fishguard.
Finally, by train to Swansea
We have Scouts from all three Scout Sections and a number of our Venture Scouts along with adult members going on camp this year.
Due to availability in travel we are now in a position to accept additional Scouts or Venture Scouts that didn’t get the chance to sign up back in January.
If you are interested in still going at this stage please contact your section leader ASAP and we’ll do our very best to accommodate you.
A great program of activities awaits so don’t miss out!

At the last minute we’ve been given the opportunity to raise some funds by bag packing in Dunnes Stores on the Curaheen Road, Bishopstown (This is NOT Bishopstown Court) this Saturday 25th of January
The bag pack is from 10am – 6pm and we need 3 members per hour to help us out.
We appreciate that this is short notice and you’ve other things on over the weekend but we’re hoping that your scouting spirit will shine through and you can donate around 2 hours of your time on Saturday to help us raise some much needed funds.
Contact your section leader ASAP to offer your services please

6th and 47th had a sleepover in the hall last night and a great time was had by all. After games and horseplay the scouts tucked into Pizza chicken nuggets and wedges washed down with fizzies. Thanks to the efforts of John Cleary who seemed to have his entire IT dept. from home the lads and lasses watched a couple of DVD’s. A somewhat nights sleep ensued and the night culminated in a delicious fry up courtesy of the scouts. Sean,Sarah and of course John wish to thank the scouts for making the night possible! Thanks Scouts 6th and 47th!!!
